2014 Wait for Judgments Can Be 6 mo. Behind Due to Court Backlog

Don't Count on Getting Your Court Final Judgment Early or on Time

There seems to be up to a 6 month backlog on Judgments in family law in Sacramento.

We know of several attorneys hired specifically to try and get a Judgment in timely and it had to be done by hiring him to run some story to Judge so the Judgment could be signed right away.

Also the "One Day Divorce" has specific FINANCIAL restraints and if one party of 1-2 people in the household, earns more than $2608. per month, you have exceeded the allowed amount and do not qualify.
One day divorce doe NOT mean your entire divorce only takes one day. A normal divorce does not occur prior to a six month wait plus several days, and that assumes the judgment is signed. No signed judgment means no divorce. A status only divorce requires a different process.

If both spouses are trying to attend the clinic, BOTH spouses MUST meet the guideline otherwise you do not qualify. Attendance is by appointment only and is usually the 2nd and 3rd Fridays of each month at 9am.

Elkins Case and its Effect on Family Law Court

In a Contra Costa County divorce case in 2007, the husband kept representing himself but the wife
hired an attorney. In trial, the husband's exhibits were not allowed for the most part but of course the wife's exhibits were. When the husband lost big, he GOT an attorney and then it became a huge case.

Now the courts are supposed to ensure that even pro se litigants representing themselves have due process.

 We can process documents for most civil litigation, especially ongoing litigation, and especially if you are not winning. We do know how to tell usually, why a client is losing, and if the client will continue losing, or whether there is hope to change the losing to somehow winning some issues. This is not something that most document services can do, because most services do not have an attorney or attorneys  and  really don't care if you win your case. We want clients to get results and usually that means winning some issues, or successfully opposing some issues.

Document technicians not only have experience and a degree, we also have law school graduates that help us with paperwork. All of our help either have worked or are working in law offices or for other attorneys as well as performing independent contract jobs.

We haven't been in business over 20 years from losing everything, so if you need real help, we may be able to help you! Combined experience in legal work is over 60 years. All of our tech have law degrees and all work is reviewed by an attorney.
